Public Crime Statistics
Welcome to the City of Taylorsville's Public Crime Statistics webpage. The information contained in the following pages represents the most up-to-date information on police calls for service. It is important to recognize the differences between calls for service and crime reports. A call for service is recorded anytime someone contacts the police department to request assistance. Such requests can include suspicious vehicles, traffic accidents, noise complaints, and more. A crime report only occurs after an officer has been dispatched and confirms that a law was violated. Many calls for service turn into crime reports but it is rare for a crime report to happen before a call for service is generated.
